We are seeking an organised, proactive and people-focused individual to join our team as a Divisional Administrator within the School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of divisional operations across the University's Oxford Road campus and Wythenshawe Hospital, supporting academic, clinical and operational activity within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Acting as first point of contact and offering excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including on-site operational support as per business need ensuring effective signposting to other business areas as required.
- Acting as a liaison, working with the Division Operations Manager, between NHS and UoM teams to resolve requests and queries effectively.
- Providing support to the Senior Administrator with the delivery of key processes and projects across all areas including People, Finance and Estates in order to ensure the smooth running of the business area.
- Managing competing priorities and working to deadlines, when necessary, in order to ensure operational activity is delivered in a timely manner.
- Supporting the maintenance of data on electronic systems associated with academic activities and related University exercises.

Essential Criteria:
- Good standard of education, with a grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent, or relevant professional experience, preferably in a higher education / NHS trust environment.
- Experience of providing effective and efficient administrative support and exemplary customer service to senior staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), demonstrating an ability to interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload with multiple conflicting priorities and strict deadlines in a busy environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge and experience of using University systems such as Oracle, iProc, PURE and Key Travel.
- Experience of working within the higher education sector with an understanding of the external environment in which it operates.
- Experience of working with NHS Trusts.
