Mentoring and Support:
You will receive guidance from experienced language teachers who will support your development in both teaching methods and classroom management.
Bursaries & Scholarships:
- Bursary: £26,000 for eligible candidates
- DfE Scholarships: £28,000 for high-calibre applicants (French, German, Spanish)
Entry Requirements:
- Qualifications: A good degree (minimum 2:2) in French, Spanish, German, or a related field. At least 50% of your degree should be in the chosen language or a Grade B in A-Level Modern Languages.
- GCSEs: English and Maths (minimum grade C/4). Free equivalency tests are available for candidates who do not meet these qualifications.
Personal Qualities: A passion for language learning and teaching, with an interest in promoting cultural understanding.
Other Requirements: No prior classroom experience required, although any relevant experience with young people is beneficial. Criminal record checks, health screening, and references will be required upon a successful offer.
Fees:
- QTS only: £8,000
- QTS with PGCE: £9,200 (Fees are fixed for September 2025)
