Responsibilities:
- Carry out vital repairs and upgrades across the city's road and footpath network
- Engage with the local community to provide advice and maintain the highest standards of customer care
- Operate vehicles suitable to licence type, perform vehicle checks and complete associated paperwork
- Use handheld technology
- Maintain equipment and machinery in good working order
- Prioritise workloads and ensure relevant standards and timescales are met
- Communicate with members of the public and provide feedback to management
- Manage resources effectively
Qualifications:
- Experience in drainage, surfacing, slabbing/kerbing, hardland landscaping, carriageway marking, or similar works within a roads environment
- Full UK Driving C1 Licence essential, or commitment to obtain within six months of employment
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and prioritise workloads efficiently
- Sound knowledge of equipment and machinery used within roads operations
- Proficiency in using handheld technology
- Strong communication skills, able to advise the public and provide feedback to management
