Salary: £34,452 - £40,501 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Westfield Secondary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Pupil Support Officer. The successful candidate will need to be educated to SVQ Level 7 and be capable of planning flexible programmes of interventions that meet the specific needs of all learners across wellbeing areas. They will also need to prepare PSOs to deliver, quality-assure, and provide evidence of impact.

Westfield Secondary School is a non-denominational additional support needs school for secondary age learners with a wide range of social, emotional and complex learning needs. The school provides a nurturing environment in which attainment and achievement are supported through positive relationships and high levels of personalisation.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
