Murrayburn EYC is within Murrayburn Primary School in the Sighthill area of Edinburgh. We have up to 30 pupils daily requiring snack and lunch. You will be responsible for ordering, preparing, delivering and assisting pupils and staff with snack and lunch during the day.

Salary: £26,205 - £26,525 (Pro Rata for part time and sessional)

Hours: 12 per week, 38 Weeks sessional

Responsibilities:

  • You will order, prepare, deliver and assist with snacks and lunch for pupils and staff throughout the day.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Food preparation experience.
  • Experience working with pre‑school children (preferred).
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work safely and hygienically with food.

Pre‑Employment Checks:

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
