Fixed-term Early Years Assistant - Cramond Primary School Nursery
Salary: £26,806 - £27,032. Hours: 19 per week, 39 weeks sessional. Term: fixed until 26/06/2026. Position: part-time fixed-term Early Years Assistant for the nursery team until end of academic year 25/26. Working hours: Mon-Thu 08:45-12:45, Fri 08:45-11:45.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as part of the early years team within all council early years provision.
- Assist in meeting the educational, care and welfare needs of all children, ensuring that children with additional support needs who can attend mainstream provision are effectively supported.
- Be flexible and assist in carrying out general clerical duties as required in support of children’s learning.
- Provide support and assistance in day-to-day operations of School/Early Years Centre as directed by Head Teacher/Head of Centre or nominated staff.
Regulated work with children
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of these checks being satisfactory.
