Breakfast Club Assistant – Fixed Term until 29 June 2027
Location: St. John Vianney RC Primary School
Salary: £26,205 – £26,525 (pro‑rata for part‑time)
Hours: 5 per week, 38 weeks sessional. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed.
About the School
St. John Vianney RC Primary School is a multicultural community celebrating over 30 languages and countries. The Breakfast Club serves up to 40 pupils daily across P1‑P7 classes. The School Management Team – Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager – supports the Breakfast Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality provision and support to all children in the Breakfast Club.
- Support a small, enthusiastic team and contribute to the supportive, self‑evaluative culture of the school.
Qualifications and Checks
The role is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will:
- Join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if they have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
- Meet the outcome of both checks, which is a condition for an unconditional offer and commencement.
