We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as a Senior Technical Surveyor. You\’ll be based from our office in either Wembley β London or Hertfordshire. This role will combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

The Role
We are seeking a technically astute and experienced Senior Technical Surveyor to support and guide the surveying team in delivering high-quality maintenance services. You will oversee complex repairs, manage technical operations, and contribute to strategic improvements while supporting the Technical Manager and leading a team of Maintenance Surveyors.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee complex repairs, major works, and high-risk projects, ensuring recommendations align with policy and standards
- Conduct technical audits and support implementation of electronic surveying systems across teams
- Act as the key point of contact for escalated technical queries, contractor management, and consultant coordination
- Manage and guide the Maintenance Surveyor team, promoting performance and continuous improvement
- Ensure resident engagement is effective and that technical services meet customer satisfaction targets
What we need from you:
- Minimum HNC in a building-related subject or equivalent technical qualification
- Extensive experience in technical surveying within housing, maintenance, or construction
- Strong knowledge of housing law, compliance requirements, and building regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and provide expert mentoring on complex defect diagnosis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including resident engagement
