The Commissioning Editor will also be expected to engage and understand new readerships and communities and sustain those we have already formed.

Like all Faber editors, they will publish with dynamism and creativity, sensitivity and bravery - and with serious commercial impact. Key qualities will be independent thinking, ambition and editorial rigour, and experience of the publishing industry. This role will report to Associate Publisher, Louisa Joyner. This is a full-time permanent role, with a minimum of three days in our London office. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply by sending a covering letter and CV to FictionEditor@faber.co.uk, quoting reference DI. The closing date for applications is Sunday 7th September 2025.
