The GLA plays a key role at the heart of London government and is responsible for policy and delivery across a range of areas that make a difference to those who live in, work in and visit the capital – this includes environment, transport, health, sport, planning, regeneration and culture.
Shakira Keddo, newly appointed Assistant Director of People is leading the most significant transformation of people services since the GLA’s inception in 2000. The Greater London Authority is now looking for an experienced Strategic Resourcing and EVP Lead.
This is a new role within the GLA’s People Function and will be responsible for applying expertise to the full life cycle of executive recruitment at Director, senior manager and board level. The role will also play a significant role in developing and promoting the GLA’s Employee Value Proposition to ensure the organisation is positioned as an employer of choice with a recognisable brand.
As part of the Talent and Strategic Resourcing centre of excellence the role holder will contribute to design and develop the GLA’s approach to workforce planning, the development of talent acquisition strategies and identify ways to attract diverse top tier talent as part of the GLA’s ambition to employ a workforce representative of the community it serves.
You should be confident in using and analysing data to support decision making and business strategy as well as undertaking workforce planning modelling to predict trends in workforce composition. You will be skilled at developing effective working relationships and contract management as this role will lead the interface with Transport for London who will be delivering the GLA’s volume recruitment activity.
The demands on our HR team to create appropriate services that meet the needs of both the organisation and our workforce have probably never been greater than they are now. This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
