Role Overview

The Mayor wants to make London a zero-carbon city by 2030, while at the same time protecting the most disadvantaged by tackling fuel poverty. This role will support the delivery of London’s Green New Deal and the Warmer Homes and Warmer Homes Advice Service programmes, helping fuel poor Londoners lower their bills, create new green jobs, and support a robust safety net for all Londoners. This position is based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff practice hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role, so you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the delivery of large-scale domestic energy efficiency programmes.
  • Work closely with London boroughs and other stakeholders.
  • Support Warmer Homes and Warmer Homes Advice Service programmes to help fuel poor Londoners lower their bills and have warm homes.
  • Coordinate retrofitting and solar generation projects as part of the Green New Deal.
  • Support the Mayor’s aim of delivering a Green New Deal and a robust safety net for all Londoners.
