The GLA’s migration team seeks an experienced senior officer to lead London’s approach to responding to new arrivals who have sought sanctuary in London. The role will have a system‑leadership remit at a senior level to lead urgent response work and to resolve issues affecting the welcome and integration of new arrivals, while establishing a new team to create system change that strengthens London’s resilience and promotes inclusive recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead senior‑level system leadership to resolve issues impacting the welcome and integration of new arrivals who have sought sanctuary.
  • Oversee a connected portfolio of work and establish a new team for system change.
  • Develop policies or projects within a political environment, including the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent understanding of the policy issues impacting people who have sought sanctuary.
  • Experience of developing policy or projects within a political environment.
  • Capable of working in hybrid mode at London Fire Brigade Head Office.
