This is a new, exciting role coordinating communication, outreach and engagement for our biggest directorate at the GLA. As part of the new Good Growth Coordination Team, you will help shape our approach to maximise the impact of a varied portfolio of work and help us to tell a coordinated and engaging story of how we support all Londoners to thrive.

Our work across Good Growth covers the Economy, Transport, Culture and Creative Industries, Regeneration, Infrastructure and the Environment, to name but a few. In particular, you'll support the Regeneration team and work to maximise our contribution to the London Economic Recovery Framework, and ensure that our work is aligned to the delivery of the Mayor's Manifesto.

Day to day you'll identify opportunities for us to integrate and amplify our messaging to a range of stakeholders. You'll work both internally and externally to support directorate coordination. You'll be able to work confidently under pressure, build effective relationships with external stakeholders and across teams. You'll be comfortable developing a high level understanding of a range of policy areas.

You'll bring a can-do attitude and be experienced in developing communications strategies, managing social media, editing and creating content for a range of audiences and channels, supporting marketing campaigns and managing networks. You'll also have the opportunity to take a leading role in delivering publications, exhibitions and events.

We also recognise that we have a lot of work to do to make sure that we achieve our ambitious goals relating to equality, diversity, and inclusion. You'll play a key role coordinating our crucial work to help us achieve our EDI goals.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade's Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

London's diversity is its biggest asset and we strive to ensure our workforce reflects London's diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority ethnic candidates and disabled candidates who are currently underrepresented in our workforce.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share. In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days' annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
