About this role

In this role, you’ll own strategic development and execution of Faire’s global event marketing program. You will be charged with building brand awareness and supporting marketplace growth through in-person and digital experiences. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role at Faire that will be foundational to our brand marketing strategy in 2022 and beyond.

The ideal candidate for this role is a strategically‑minded brand marketer, adept project manager and customer obsessed at their core.

What you’ll do

  • Manage end-to-end events program , inclusive of initial planning, venue sourcing, vendor management, attendee lists, speakers, sales enablement tools and promotional materials. You'll own driving consistency of our events channel to ensure all activations are on strategy, on brand and on budget
  • Build operational excellence for Faire’s nascent event program. Develop playbooks for scaled event execution and maintain all assets and process documentation. Streamline creation of timelines, staffing, agendas and budget tracking. Facilitate timely post-event program follow up including lead processing within SFDC, measurement and reporting of event impact and insights
  • Generate content and experiences that exceed customer and prospect expectations and resonate with the breadth and personality of our community
  • Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Brand Studio and Sales teams . Demonstrate strong communication of plans and tactics across organizational stakeholders while being able to roll up sleeves and execute
  • Demonstrate a results‑oriented approach to the event marketing discipline by evaluating ROI against goals and generating learnings for improvement

Qualifications

  • 7+ years relevant experience managing events or field marketing programs (ideally external customer or B2B events)
  • High attention to detail and adept project manager - ability to juggle high volume of events of varying scale
  • Customer curiosity and empathy with strong instincts on what resonates with an‑person audience
  • Strong networking and relationship building ability - you are a connector at your core
  • Resourceful and solution‑oriented mentality to think fast and handle unforeseen problems that inevitably arise with events
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and budget‑management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization (in particular with sales, marketing, comms, and design teams)
  • Travel required 30‑40%
  • Bonus points for experience in the retail or wholesale industry, and demonstrated enthusiasm for Faire’s mission
