We are looking for a Digital Content Officer to join the Talk London team. You will join a dynamic team driving digital citizen engagement through City Hall's online community platform, Talk London.

In this role, you'll write and proofread engaging copy to involve Londoners in our work and encourage them to take part in our online consultations. You'll have an eye for detail and ensure Talk London's web and email content meets best practice: from user journey to accessibility and SEO.

You will play a key role in supporting our online community members and encouraging their participation on-site. You'll cover a wide range of topics including environment, housing, recovery from the pandemic, community life, culture and much more. You'll get to use your creativity to come up with and test new engagement tactics and formats.

This is a digital role and you will be results-driven. Working collaboratively with the Talk London team, you'll use data to optimise efforts towards most effective engagement tactics and user journeys, communications and copy. You will also contribute to reports on member engagement and campaign performance.

Above all else, you'll be excited by using your skills to run campaigns that enable Londoners to have their say on big issues and help shape City Hall plans and policies.

Information Session: We will be hosting an open virtual session on Thursday 14 July from 11:00-12:00 where potential applicants can find out more about the role and the work of the Talk London team, meet some of the current team, and ask us any questions you have. Please note, this event is not mandatory – you can still apply for the role without attending.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade's Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

London's diversity is its biggest asset and we strive to ensure our workforce reflects London's diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority ethnic candidates and disabled candidates who are currently underrepresented in our workforce.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days' annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
