Now is an incredibly exciting time to join the team. As a maternity cover role, you'll experience the opportunity to see through to fruition the results of three years of piloting and development and will be provided with the foundations to achieve success based on audience insight, testing and robust growth plans.
Job purpose: To lead the development and implementation of a variety of fundraising products and activities to maximise income from key target audiences within our Community Fundraising programme, and to lead delivery of our third party challenge events programme.
Main duties of the role:
- To support the Head of Community & Events to develop the overall strategy for the Community Fundraising Programme and to take responsibility for operational implementation of campaigns and events and to meet or surpass agreed income targets.
- To develop and manage delivery of a range of fundraising events and products, including overseeing the growth of our Ribbon Walk.
- To take an audience led approach, using innovation techniques to identify areas of interest to our supporters, which can be developed into fundraising activities.
- To oversee delivery of our challenge events programme, maximising income through excellent supporter relationships.
- To develop and manage expenditure budgets for specific activities as agreed with the Head of Community & Events.
- To manage and develop effective and innovative communication, marketing digital and social marketing plans for all activities to increase recruitment across Community Fundraising programme.
- To develop and deliver a robust and bespoke supporter experience across the Community Fundraising programme.
- To research new opportunities and income streams for the Community Fundraising programme and to implement and manage the future development of these activities including potential new events.
- To work closely with the Supporter Operations team to manage data and records relating to donations and supporters through Raisers Edge, online fundraising platforms in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- To ensure THT's Community Fundraising activities are compliant with charity law and best practice standards as outlined by the Fundraising Standards Board and Institute of Fundraising.
