Reporting to: Chief People & Culture Officer
Salary: £90-98k per annum
Fixed term contract – 6 months
Location: The Forge, Sumner Street, London, SE1 9HZ (next to Borough Market)
Hybrid office Presence: a minimum of 1 day per week in the office
Direct reports: 1 (with plans for team growth)

About the Role
As Head of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, you’ll develop and lead their EDI strategy, embedding best practices across all areas of their work. You’ll provide expert advice to senior leaders, shaping policies and ensuring that EDI is central to Macmillan’s culture, governance, and decision-making. By engaging with communities, challenging existing ways of working, and holding leaders accountable, you’ll help them become a truly inclusive organisation that champions diversity and equity at every level.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the skills, capability, knowledge or track record in:
- Developing and implementing EDI strategy delivery plans within organisations and communities.
- Advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, across partnership systems.
- Engaging diverse communities and minority groups to shape strategies, plans, and activities that impact them.
- Decision-making and governance expertise , ensuring effective risk management and accountability for EDI priorities.
- Social mobility, social policy, social justice, culture, or equity , driving meaningful and lasting change.
