As a global Federation of national members, SOS Children’s Villages has been supporting vulnerable children since 1949, and currently works in 136 countries and territories across five continents. SOS Children’s Villages UK is the UK member since 1968. All of the work that we do comes back to our vision of a world where every child has a family, a community, and chance to grow up feeling cared for and loved.

Role Overview

We are looking for a trustee with skills across finance and IT to join our UK Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

  • Time commitment: 8-10 days per year across Board and Committee meetings, in addition to meeting preparation time and ad hoc meetings with and support for the executive team.

Qualifications

  • Experience within financial risk planning and strategy.
  • Critical understanding of donor restricted and unrestricted funds and legacy donations.
  • Experience building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to achieve organisational objectives.
