We're looking for a detail-driven Data Executive to join our Technology Services team in Brighton. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our data operations. You'll be keeping our Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system updated, supporting colleagues across the business, and working to maintain and improve the systems that support our events portfolio. If you like solving problems, care about clean data, and enjoy being the person who makes things work, you'll fit right in.

ABOUT DIVERSIFIED UK & EUROPE

We're a Brighton-based events company, part of the global Diversified Communications group; connecting, educating, and strengthening business communities through market-leading trade shows, industry awards, digital products, and publications. We organise 20 in-person trade events and 4 industry awards across a range of sectors, creating the kind of valuable business connections that help companies grow. With a team of over 100 people, we're large enough to offer variety and structure, but small enough that individuals make a real difference. We've won the EN Awards Employer of the Year two years running (2025 and 2026) not because we tick boxes, but because we genuinely invest in our people. Flexible working, a collaborative culture, and a leadership team that listens are things we're proud of, not just things we say.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Reporting to our Senior CRM & Data Analyst, your work will span a range of CRM and data activity: keeping the database clean and well-documented, supporting colleagues with imports, exports, and reporting, contributing to system development projects, and troubleshooting day-to-day issues.

Data Management & Quality

  • Monitoring the Salesforce system and conducting regular data cleansing in line with data protection requirements.
  • Managing customer requests for personal data, opt-outs, and deletions.
  • Keeping page layouts current and user-friendly.
  • Writing new, and maintaining existing database documentation.

Supporting the Team

  • Onboarding and off-boarding users, setting up profiles, access levels, and system access.
  • Training new starters on systems, case raising, and sales contracts.
  • Building reports and extracting data for business and analytical purposes.
  • Acting as a go-to contact for Salesforce troubleshooting and user support.
  • Creating guides for new tasks and saving them to SharePoint.

Projects & Development

  • Collaborating with third-party developers to supervise new CRM features and implementations.
  • Testing developer work in sandboxes to catch errors before go-live.
  • Facilitating the launch of event registration forms and ensuring data is captured correctly.
  • Creating events, reports, and dashboards within the CRM.

Data Import/Export & Connectors

  • Importing registrations and exhibitor data, mapping fields correctly and testing in sandboxes.
  • Monitoring CRM storage thresholds and looking for ways to improve data entry processes.
  • Administering connected tools including PandaDoc for document sending, OwnBackup for data backup, and Cloudingo for duplication monitoring.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Translating technical language into plain English for less technical colleagues.
  • Keeping staff informed of system changes, issues, and resolutions.
  • Contributing to Salesforce super-user meetings and staff-wide newsletters on process updates.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, or with relevant work experience in a data, administrative, or technology-related role.
  • Comfortable working with a CRM system (Salesforce experience is a bonus, but not essential).
  • Confident using Excel for data manipulation, including formulas and filtering and ideally familiar with Power BI.
  • Someone who cares about data accuracy and has a strong eye for detail.
  • Precise and methodical in their approach, with a habit of double-checking their work.
  • A good communicator who can hold their own with developers and explain things clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused with the foresight to spot problems before they become incidents.
  • Organised, reliable, and happy to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Naturally curious, and keen to ask questions when something is not clear or does not seem right.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • A Brighton city centre office, just a short walk from Brighton station.
  • A role with real ownership, you'll be trusted to manage your own workload and deliver results.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and we close over Christmas and New Year on top of that.
  • An employer pension contribution of up to 10%, significantly above the statutory minimum.
  • A discretionary company bonus scheme. When the business does well, everyone shares in that success.
  • A comprehensive wellbeing package including a cash health plan, EAP (Employee Assistance Programme), life insurance, critical illness cover, bereavement support, and a contribution towards gym membership or wellbeing app.
  • Flexible start and finish times, so you can work around your life.
  • Hybrid working: a mix of Brighton office and home working, on a 35-hour working week.
  • Cycle to Work scheme and Electric Car Scheme.
  • Ongoing professional development, in-house training, curated programmes, and dedicated self-directed learning time.
  • A paid volunteering day to give back to a cause that matters to you.
  • Family-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • A colleague referral scheme, because the best people often know the best people.
  • Social events ranging from book clubs and game nights to our annual Star Awards and Christmas party.
