We’re adding to our sales team — and we’re doing it across multiple portfolios at once. This isn’t about backfilling; it’s about growth. Our events business is expanding, our portfolios are performing strongly, and we need commercially minded people to help us build on that momentum.

We’re hiring at both Account Executive and Senior Account Executive level across three distinct areas of our portfolio:

  • Digital Construction Week (DCW) — one of the UK’s most exciting construction tech event portfolios, spanning a flagship London exhibition, a regional Manchester event, an awards ceremony and a year-round digital content hub. Over 10,000 attendees each year at the intersection of construction, technology and innovation.
  • Food & hospitality — two distinct events: The London Food & Drink Festival, a family of four leading trade shows making one of the capital’s best-known food and drink events, and The Northern Restaurant & Bar Show (NRB), the leading trade event for the hospitality industry in the North of England. Together they offer a rich and varied client base of innovative producers, brands, and suppliers for restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes, coffee shops, food retailers and more.

And unlike most sales roles, you’ll see the results of your work in person. When the doors open and the floor fills with thousands of industry professionals, it’s a feeling our sales team consistently say makes this job unlike anything else.

About Diversified UK & Europe: We’re a Brighton-based events company, part of the global Diversified Communications group, organising 20 in-person trade events and 4 industry awards across a range of sectors. With a team of around 100 people, we’re large enough to offer variety and structure, but small enough that individuals make a real difference — and we’ve won Employer of the Year two years running (2025 and 2026) to prove it.

What You’ll Be Doing: Whichever portfolio you join, the core of the role is the same. Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Selling across multiple revenue lines — exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages, digital advertising and awards — the exact mix depending on which portfolio you join.
  • Proactively sourcing and qualifying new leads through calls, email, LinkedIn and networking — building your own pipeline.
  • Managing and growing client relationships, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Hitting (and aiming to exceed!) individual and team revenue targets.
  • Attending events on-site, supporting clients and seeing the direct results of your work.

At Senior level, you’ll be expected to drive more revenue, close bigger deals and take a lead role in growing the portfolio commercially. If you’re an AE who’s consistently hitting targets and ready for more, this is the step up you’re looking for.

What We’re Looking For: We’re not after a perfect CV — we’re after the right person. You’ll probably be:

  • Someone with experience in a commercial, sales or client-facing role — whether that’s in events, exhibitions, media, publishing, marketing agencies, recruitment or another environment where you’ve had to persuade, negotiate or grow relationships. Sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Confident across multiple channels — phone, email, LinkedIn and in person — you know how to start a conversation and build a relationship wherever your clients are, and you aren’t put off by outbound prospecting.
  • Target-driven and motivated by results — you take ownership of your numbers and hold yourself accountable.
  • Organised, methodical and a genuine team player — you follow through on commitments and celebrate the team’s wins as much as your own.

If you’re ambitious and commercially minded, we’re interested — a strong attitude and a willingness to learn will take you further here than a perfect CV.

What’s in It for You: We know you have options, so here’s why people enjoy working here:

  • A competitive base salary with a team commission structure that means when the show does well, everyone earns well — OTE is genuinely achievable, and we’ll walk you through exactly how it works at first interview.
  • A portfolio with real commercial depth — multiple revenue lines means more opportunities, more conversations, and more ways to hit your numbers.
  • A role with real ownership — you’ll be trusted to manage your own patch, not micromanaged.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas closure on top, and flexible start and finish times.
  • An employer pension contribution of up to 10% — one of the most generous schemes you’ll find at a company of our size — plus a discretionary company bonus scheme.
  • A comprehensive wellbeing package — cash health plan, EAP, life insurance, critical illness cover, bereavement support and a contribution towards gym membership or a wellbeing app.
  • Hybrid working, Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme, enhanced family-friendly policies, a paid volunteering day and ongoing professional development.
  • A two-time Employer of the Year winner (EN Awards 2025 & 2026) — an accolade that reflects how we actually treat our people.

Where Could This Lead? We promote from within wherever we can, and there’s a clear path forward from both AE and Senior AE level — towards greater portfolio responsibility, team leadership, or both. Several members of our current sales leadership started in roles exactly like these.

How to Apply: Send your CV and a short covering note — just tell us a bit about yourself, which level you’re applying at, and which portfolio interests you — or if you’re open to any of them. We’ll match the right people to the right roles. If you’d like an informal conversation before applying, we’re happy to arrange that too.

Interviews will take place w/c 18th May.
