Digital Construction Week is one of the UK’s most exciting construction tech event portfolios – a flagship exhibition in London, a regional event in Manchester, an industry awards ceremony, and a year‑round digital content hub. With over 10,000 attendees each year and an internationally recognised brand at the intersection of construction, technology and innovation, DCW is a strong commercial platform with real momentum behind it.
About Diversified UK & Europe: We’re a Brighton‑based events company, part of the global Diversified Communications group, organising 20 in‑person trade events and 4 industry awards across a range of sectors. With a team of around 100 people, we’re large enough to offer variety and structure, but small enough that individuals make a real difference.
Responsibilities:
- Owning and driving revenue across the DCW portfolio – including exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages and digital advertising – through a portfolio approach that identifies cross‑sell opportunities and maximises client value across all three events.
- Conducting high‑level meetings with senior industry contacts and converting them into long‑term commercial relationships.
- Proactively developing new business through calls, email, LinkedIn and in‑person outreach – including attending industry events to represent DCW and generate leads.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of two sales executives – managing their pipeline, supporting their development and driving collective performance.
- Hitting and exceeding individual and team revenue targets consistently across the year.
- Developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and using that insight to sharpen the commercial approach.
- Keeping Salesforce up to date with accurate pipeline data and generating reports for senior leadership.
- Collaborating with operations, marketing and finance to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements across all three shows.
- Attending DCW events on‑site, supporting clients and helping to deliver a great experience for exhibitors and sponsors.
Qualifications:
- Experienced sales professional with a strong track record of hitting revenue targets – in events, exhibitions, media, publishing or another commercially‑focused environment. Sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Confident and credible across multiple channels – phone, email, LinkedIn and in‑person – able to open doors and build lasting relationships.
- Someone who has managed or mentored others, or who is ready to do so – results through people as well as personally.
- Commercially sharp and strategically minded – thinking about the portfolio as a whole, not just the next deal.
- Organised, methodical and collaborative – follows through on commitments and brings others along.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary with commission structure – OTE genuinely achievable with more for those who exceed target.
- Genuine commercial ownership – shape the sales approach for a leading construction tech portfolio.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays – and we close over Christmas and New Year.
- Employer pension contribution of up to 10% – above statutory minimum.
- Discretionary company bonus scheme – share in business success.
- Comprehensive wellbeing package – cash health plan, EAP, life insurance, critical illness cover, bereavement support, and contribution towards gym membership or wellbeing app.
- Flexible start and finish times.
- Hybrid working – Brighton office and home.
- Cycle to Work scheme and Electric Car Scheme.
- Ongoing professional development – in‑house training, curated programmes and dedicated self‑directed learning time.
- Paid volunteering day.
- Family‑friendly policies – enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
- Colleague referral scheme.
- Regular social events – book clubs, game nights, annual Star Awards and Christmas party.
- Two‑time Employer of the Year winner (EN Awards 2025 & 2026).
Career Development: We promote from within wherever we can. For the right person, this role is a strong platform for broader commercial leadership – across a wider portfolio and at a more senior level.
