We’re hiring a Territory Account Manager to support and grow key accounts across the Processed Food sector in Peterborough area. If you enjoy working in fast‑paced food manufacturing environments, building strong customer relationships and solving real operational challenges, this role offers the autonomy and impact you’re looking for.
You’ll take ownership of a defined territory and a portfolio of nominated accounts, using a Trusted Advisor approach to deliver exceptional service, drive performance and identify opportunities for growth. Because hygiene teams operate around the clock, flexibility is essential — typically 4–5 evening or night visits per month, plus 2–3 overnight stays depending on the geography of your region.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, values long‑term customer partnerships and enjoys combining technical understanding with commercial responsibility.
Responsibilities- Set and deliver SMART goals that drive territory and customer performance.
- Lead problem‑solving and process improvement initiatives across customer sites.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and service levels.
- Build strong, long‑term customer relationships using a Trusted Advisor approach.
- Train customer teams on the safe handling of chemicals.
- Support the creation and maintenance of hygiene schedules when required.
- Conduct audits in line with the Service Level Agreement.
- Maintain a structured territory coverage plan and accurate customer documentation.
- Use company and customer reporting systems to ensure clear, timely information flow.
- Follow all approved policies, procedures and compliance standards.
- Experience in a similar role within the Processed Food sector (essential).
- Qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field (desirable).
- BRC‑recognised Internal Auditor qualification (desirable).
- Minimum two years’ experience in food manufacturing or processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Self‑motivated, proactive and confident working independently.
- Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to varied hours and customer needs.
At Diversey, a Solenis Company, we are relentlessly pursuing our purpose to go beyond clean to take care of what’s precious. In today’s world of increasing resource scarcity - including water, energy, materials, and labour - we need to achieve more with less for the well-being of today’s generations and for future generations.
We stand behind every committed leader and employee of our customers, across all levels of the organisation. We stand with the buyer, the chef, the building service contractor, the food processing manager, the nurse, the doctor, dairy processor, the hotel cleaner, head teacher, the store manager and many more who understand that hygiene and infection prevention are imperative to their business, their customers, their reputation, and the environment.
