Job Description
The Workplace Apprenticeship Programme is an exciting opportunity to take your first steps into a rewarding career at a high performing organisation.
For the duration of the 16-month programme we will support you in combining work and education – you will have an opportunity to gain a Workplace Management qualification while also being an important and highly valued member of a well-established and respected team. You will have the opportunity to build your knowledge of Workplace Management by working alongside experienced individuals in exciting and rewarding tasks and projects.
This opportunity will provide you with a route into a rewarding career within a successful organisation. You'll have a chance to learn from experts in their field, develop and grow, while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will complete a comprehensive training programme with a chosen provider and will be guided on every step of your apprenticeship journey.
Workplace Management is the process of managing the physical environment in which our employees work. This is a varied role which will involve the coordination of:
- Building condition inspections
- Desk and people moves
- Catering
- Cleaning
- Landscaping
- Security
- Mechanical and Electrical maintenance
- Environment, Health and Safety
Who you’ll be working with
There are 16 members of the Workplace team here with a range of skills and experiences – from working with cleaning, security and catering to fabric, mechanical and electrical maintenance to environment, health and safety.
There are also a significant number of varying programmes and projects working on incredibly exciting initiatives, so no matter current interests and skill set, there are certain to be opportunities that suit your aspirations.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a passion and desire to learn and who enjoys working and collaborating with others. You should feel comfortable working both independently and in teams. The scope of the Workplace Management role is wide and varied and there are many different specialisms one can choose if you pursue a career in Workplace Management.
As much of the Workplace Management role is focused on buildings and their operation, you should have an interest in learning about the built environment and how people use it – even if you have no qualifications or experience in this field.
You should be enthusiastic when dealing with customers, keen to take on new challenges, be proactive in maintaining a balance between work and learning and have an inquisitive mindset.
You should be able to demonstrate a drive to perform and preferably be familiar in the use of core Microsoft software such as Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
