Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Website Executive to join their Digital team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a digital professional with experience in website management, content publishing, analytics, and user experience optimisation to further develop their career within a purpose‑driven organisation. Reporting to the Website Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, and development of the organisation’s website. The role spans content management, website testing, reporting, optimisation activities, and stakeholder support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical and content‑focused aspects of digital delivery. The successful candidate will become the primary user of the organisation’s content management system (CMS), ensuring website content remains accurate, accessible, user‑focused, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Website Development & Delivery
- Support the Website Manager in delivering website enhancements, digital projects, and campaign‑related initiatives.
- Assist with the execution of A/B testing and website optimisation activities.
- Analyse test outcomes and contribute recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for website updates and new functionality across front‑end and back‑end environments.
- Ensure all website releases are thoroughly tested and free from defects before deployment.
- Content Management & CMS Administration
- Act as the CMS superuser, providing support and guidance to internal teams.
- Build, publish, update, and maintain website content and landing pages.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
- Troubleshoot CMS‑related issues and coordinate with external development partners when required.
- Develop and maintain CMS training materials and deliver training sessions to internal stakeholders.
- Support content creation, including copywriting and content updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new content opportunities and requirements.
- Help expand and maintain website FAQ content based on emerging user needs and organisational priorities.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Support website performance reporting using analytics and user behaviour tools.
- Produce regular reports and insights for stakeholders.
- Analyse website performance data to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Contribute recommendations to improve user experience, engagement, and conversion performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in website management, digital product delivery, or a related digital role.
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or comparable analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of website user experience (UX) principles and customer journey optimisation.
- Experience conducting website testing, quality assurance, and content audits.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong written communication and content editing abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, agencies, and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high‑quality digital experiences.
- Understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation best practices.
- Ability to advocate for digital best practices and support colleagues in leveraging website capabilities effectively.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines.
- Experience using Umbraco CMS.
- Familiarity with analytics and optimisation tools such as Hotjar and Looker Studio.
- Proactive approach to staying informed about digital trends, search developments, and platform updates.
- Experience working within public engagement, membership, not‑for‑profit, or purpose‑led organisations.
