Salary: £48,396-£55,644 pa + benefits. Based: Islington, London - hybrid working. Closing date: Sunday 9th August 2026 at 23.59pm.

Greenpeace UK is an independent national/regional organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, which acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.

The Web and Optimisation Analyst plays a central role in making sure Greenpeace UK has the insights needed to create brilliant digital experiences, translating data into actionable insights to inform strategy, improve conversion rates, and enhance user experience.

Job Requirements

You will achieve this by:

  • Owning the complete web analytics platform implementation (currently GA4), including advanced configuration, custom dimensions, conversion tracking, and attrition modelling.
  • Serving as the primary tag management system administrator (currently GTM), implementing sophisticated tracking strategies, managing tag governance, and ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Leading the digital testing programme including owning the testing platform (currently VWO), including experiment design, statistical methodology, implementation through testing platforms, and analysis of results.
  • Creating user-friendly guides, video tutorials, and reference materials that help colleagues become more confident and independent in using analytics tools.
  • Building effective working relationships with key internal partners, developing a deep understanding of their strategic contexts, anticipating their needs, and ensuring analytical findings are applied to real decisions.
  • Championing anti-racist values - tailoring your approach to those with different perspectives, and helping Greenpeace to reach a broader more diverse audience.
About You

You’ll be working across implementation, testing and insights in this role, so you will have a strong foundation in administration of relevant platforms, presenting results and analysis, and legal and security compliance. You will have the ability to derive strategic insights from test results and web analytics, and have solid communication and presentation skills to play this back to stakeholders.

Essential Criteria For Success
  • Practical experience configuring and using a web analytics platform (e.g. Google Analytics 4) to answer business questions including; reporting, tracking setup, and working within data privacy requirements.
  • Experience running and communicating tests - from setup and quality assurance through to analysis of results.
  • Ability to turn data and test results into insights that non-specialists can understand and act on, adapting your approach for different learning styles and levels of data fluency across the organisation.
  • Understanding of data privacy principles and experience in implementing them in a digital analytics context.
  • A commitment to thoughtful and inclusive practice in both how we communicate with our audiences and how we work together internally.
