Overview
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive (SBDE) to join its high-performing Real Estate (RE) Group. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a top-tier team during a period of ambitious growth and to work closely with partners, fee earners, and the wider Business Development (BD) function. The role offers exposure to high-profile projects across four specialist practice groups—Transactions, Disputes, Construction & Engineering, and Planning. You will act as a trusted advisor, supporting the development and delivery of business development plans, bids, and client engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders across the Real Estate Group, becoming a trusted business development advisor.
- Support the BD Manager in developing, implementing, and reviewing practice group BD plans.
- Lead on BD targeting activities, including tracking opportunities and supporting campaigns.
- Oversee and manage the production of bids, tenders, and PQQ responses, working closely with the central Bids team.
- Deliver accurate reporting on BD activities, opportunities, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider BD directorate to ensure the successful delivery of firmwide initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, or client engagement within professional services (legal sector experience advantageous).
- Strong writing and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships quickly and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine “can-do” attitude.
- Team player, confident working collaboratively across multiple practice areas and teams.
