Job Description

We are recruiting a Sales Director to join one of our Business Units on a full-time, permanent, hybrid-working basis.

We are looking for a sales leader and manager who will grow our business with the team and influence existing customers and clients alike from a sales and business development perspective! We are looking for someone who is passionate about SaaS/Tech sales and who cares about improving the customer experience!

The position will be hybrid working, and we are seeking someone who lives between Birmingham and the North of England. Our teams are located in various geographies throughout the UK as are our clients.

The purpose of this role is to build, resource and manage a successful sales function capable of supporting the business growth strategy. This will be achieved by working with our Marketing, Customer and Product teams to utilise customer insight data and lead the new business development, client engagement and key account management teams to deliver exceptional customer experience to convert opportunities into revenue.

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for building and coaching the sales team, implementing processes that make them successful, and building a reporting model to analyse where your team is succeeding and where improvements can be made to increase revenue.

In performing this role your responsibilities with the team will include (but will not be limited to) the following:

  • Defining and executing against aggressive growth plans, taking ownership of all the revenue and bookings of the company and carefully managing the Opex. Providing regular and accurate forecasting of revenue and cost management
  • Ensuring retention and development of existing customer relationships through account management, strategic account planning and executive sponsorship programmes. Building strong prospect/customer relationships.
  • Working with Marketing to generate leads through all necessary channels and building a strong pipeline of potential (qualified) prospects, coordinating sales engagements/demonstrations
  • Achieve sales goals/quotas of the team and enable the team to achieve targets through management and support
  • Preparing reports detailing the status of all accounts
  • Participate in national and regional tradeshows

Note:

Travel is essential in order to work with the team and visit existing and potential customers. Travel will likely involve circa 3-4 overnight stays per month, however, depending on the business need, at times this may increase.

The position is paying between 80 – 100K GBP dependant on experience, plus commission OTE of up to 30k GBP
