Our client is seeking a
Risk & Regulatory Transformation Manager to join its Financial Services practice.
The successful candidate will lead high-impact risk, regulatory and controls transformation engagements for leading insurance organisations.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders, shape client engagements, develop market propositions and contribute to the continued growth of the Insurance Risk capability.
The role is particularly suited to an experienced management consultant with strong insurance sector knowledge and a proven track record of delivering complex transformation programmes.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of risk, regulatory and controls transformation programmes within the insurance sector.
- Deliver regulatory change programmes relating to areas such as Consumer Duty, IFRS 17, Solvency II and evolving FCA and PRA expectations.
- Support operational resilience, stress testing and scenario analysis initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of risk transformation programmes and target operating models across governance, people, processes and technology.
- Advise clients on enterprise risk management frameworks, governance structures, regulatory compliance and risk operating models.
- Help clients strengthen their controls, assurance, conduct risk and enterprise risk management capabilities.
- Develop market propositions and define how the Insurance Risk offering is positioned and taken to market.
- Produce thought leadership and market perspectives on emerging risk, regulatory and insurance industry trends.
- Build and manage trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Facilitate complex decision-making and provide constructive challenge to senior client teams.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, RFP responses, client pitches and account growth.
- Lead collaborative, high-performing consulting teams across complex client engagements.
- Coach and develop junior consultants, supporting their performance, capability and career progression.
- Contribute to a culture of sustainability, ethical decision-making and responsible business practices.
Requirements
- Six to eight years of professional experience within a management consulting environment.
- Previous experience with a leading consultancy or professional services firm is strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience working with insurance organisations and a strong understanding of the insurance value chain, including underwriting, pricing, claims and reinsurance.
- Knowledge of the wider insurance ecosystem, which may include personal lines, commercial insurance, the London Market and managing general agents.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and practices.
- Detailed understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, including FCA and PRA requirements, Solvency II, Consumer Duty and IFRS 17.
- Experience across risk disciplines such as operational risk, conduct risk, controls and enterprise risk management.
- Proven experience delivering risk, regulatory, controls or compliance-focused transformation programmes.
- Experience delivering operational resilience, regulatory change or risk transformation initiatives.
- Experience designing and implementing target operating models across governance, people, processes and technology.
- Experience working within agile or hybrid delivery environments and applying structured delivery methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior executives.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen, including proposition development, proactive business development and sales support.
- Experience leading and developing teams within complex or matrix-managed environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a strong commitment to delivering sustainable client outcomes.
- Familiarity with risk management technology, controls frameworks or data-led risk and reporting environments.
- Experience supporting insurance organisations through large-scale regulatory or operating model change.
- Base salary of £82,005.
- Total cash package of up to £110,000, comprising base salary and personal and company bonuses paid every six months.
- 25 days of annual leave, increasing by one day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.
