Our HR Group delivers the people strategy of the firm globally with talented individuals spread across our UK offices (London, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh) and internationally (Dubai and Dublin). The HR Group comprises of the Learning and Development Reward & Benefits, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Early Careers, Lateral Resourcing and Responsible Business teams. This role is within the HR Operations Team, specifically Payroll. The Team is led by the Payroll Manager with the support of four Payroll Specialists and one Payroll Assistant. WHAT WILL YOU DO? • Provide a positive, personal, responsive, and efficient service to all our stakeholders (internally and externally) • Be a service matter expert on UK Payroll • Manage the entire end-to end payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness • Provide a fast route to query resolution (setting clear expectations and following up on what you say) and deal with queries in person and via case management system) • Recognize and respect differing levels of technical knowledge and adjust your communication style accordingly • Liaise with HR to ensure all employee information is up-to-date and accurately reflected in the payroll system • Prepare and submit payroll reports and documents • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices, implementing necessary adjustments to our processes YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE ESSENTISALS: • Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation • Proven experience in payroll processing • Ability to manually calculate a payslip • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail • Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities • Excellent communication skills • Good problem-solving skills • Team player • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment DESIRABLES: • Experience of global payrolls • Experience of Workday HR and Payroll • Experience of PSA • Experience working on implementations/projects
