This role will take primary responsibility for UK corporation tax and employment-related tax compliance, tax accounting and associated reporting. You will help deliver accurate, compliant and well-controlled tax outcomes while supporting the organisation in meeting its UK and wider group tax obligations.

The successful candidate will contribute to the effective management of tax risk, maintain strong governance and control standards, and support related areas including transfer pricing, VAT and customs compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or part-qualified tax professional to develop within a complex, multi-entity organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage UK corporation tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting activities.
  • Support employment-related tax compliance and associated reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review tax calculations, returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to year-end current and deferred tax reporting.
  • Support the organisation in meeting UK and wider group tax obligations.
  • Assist with UK transfer pricing compliance and related documentation.
  • Apply relevant international tax principles where required.
  • Monitor tax risks and ensure issues are identified, documented and escalated appropriately.
  • Operate within established tax governance, risk-management and control frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate audit trails, working papers and supporting tax records.
  • Analyse financial and tax data to support compliance, reporting and decision-making.
  • Contribute to VAT and customs compliance activities where required.
  • Work closely with Finance colleagues and stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
  • Provide clear technical guidance and communicate tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple compliance, accounting and reporting deadlines concurrently.
  • Support continuous improvement across tax processes, controls and reporting practices.

Requirements

  • Recently qualified Chartered Tax Adviser, or part-qualified with a clear intention to complete the qualification.
  • Alternatively, ACA qualified or equivalent, with proven UK direct tax experience.
  • Strong applied technical knowledge of UK corporation tax.
  • Practical experience of employment-related tax compliance.
  • Exposure to UK transfer pricing compliance and international tax concepts.
  • Experience preparing or supporting year-end deferred tax reporting.
  • Strong financial and tax data-analysis skills.
  • High standards of governance, documentation and control discipline.
  • Ability to interpret technical tax requirements and apply them in a commercial environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence engaging with and influencing stakeholders across different disciplines and levels.
  • Well-organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Our client offers a competitive reward and benefits package, which includes:

  • Discretionary bonus.
  • Employee vehicle schemes, including options for eligible family members.
  • Enhanced pension contributions.
  • 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Life assurance at four times annual salary.
  • Health and wellbeing support.
  • Flexible benefits designed to suit different lifestyles and personal circumstances.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • Structured onboarding and professional development support.
  • Access to extensive online and instructor-led learning resources.
