Our client is seeking an Intermediate User Researcher to support the delivery of user-centred digital services across complex transformation programmes within public and private sector environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a research professional with strong user research foundations who is looking to further develop their consultancy, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery experience within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will work alongside designers, product specialists, developers, and delivery teams to generate actionable user insights, improve digital services, and support evidence-based design and business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering user research activities to support digital product and service design
  • Selecting and applying appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods across different stages of the service lifecycle
  • Supporting teams in developing empathy and understanding of user needs and behaviours
  • Conducting usability testing and service evaluation sessions
  • Gathering, analysing, and synthesising research findings into clear and actionable insights
  • Producing research reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Supporting agile multidisciplinary teams within a user-centred design process
  • Using research findings and service metrics to inform service improvements and design decisions
  • Facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Contributing to communities of practice and supporting knowledge sharing across research and design teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement and user-centred delivery practices

Requirements:

  • Experience conducting user research within digital, service design, or agile delivery environments
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and practices
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary agile teams
  • The ability to communicate research findings clearly and confidently to stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • The ability to challenge ideas constructively and explain research-backed recommendations effectively
  • Understanding of how user research supports wider organisational and strategic objectives
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teamworking and delivery
  • Experience within consultancy, digital transformation, or public sector environments
  • Exposure to accessibility, usability testing, or service design activities
  • Experience facilitating workshops or stakeholder engagement sessions
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital product delivery
