Our client is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician (Control & Instrumentation) to support the decommissioning of a nuclear facility. This role involves the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on site instrumentation and control systems. It is ideal for individuals experienced in fault diagnosis, calibration, and maintenance of process instrumentation in highly regulated environments.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday, 07:25 – 17:00 (four-day working week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance duties with strict adherence to nuclear site licence conditions and safety regulations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis of C&I systems including pressure, flow, temperature, and level instrumentation.
  • Calibrate and repair equipment including PLCs and alarms.
  • Investigate faults and generate technical reports proposing corrective actions.
  • Prepare engineering work instructions and relevant risk assessments.
  • Analyse maintenance data and recommend further action such as condition monitoring.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in C&I maintenance within an industrial setting (essential).
  • Level 3 (NQF) qualification or equivalent in a relevant C&I discipline (essential).
  • Knowledge of radiological and nuclear plant operations and safety standards (desirable).
  • Familiarity with industrial safety procedures and practices (essential).

Please note: This role may also be referred to as “Senior Production Technician (Maintenance)” within the hiring organisation.
