Our client, a leading organisation within the insurance sector, is seeking a Strategy & Transformation Manager to join their Strategy and Transformation function. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in London, with flexible working arrangements available. The role focuses on shaping and delivering strategic initiatives aligned to a long-term transformation agenda, working closely with senior leadership across business and technology functions. This opportunity is ideal for a strategy or consulting professional with experience in insurance or financial services, looking to drive high-impact change in a complex, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver strategic initiatives aligned to corporate strategy, transformation programmes, and defined business objectives (OKRs)
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Strategy, Technology, and business units to solve complex challenges and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Facilitate workshops and translate insights into actionable recommendations and execution plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and drive alignment across multiple workstreams
  • Track and report on progress, outcomes, and business impact of strategic initiatives
  • Independently manage projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery at pace
  • Develop business cases and support governance processes to ensure alignment with strategic priorities
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive engagement to enable successful change delivery

Requirements

  • Experience in strategy, transformation, or management consulting (in-house or consultancy)
  • Exposure to the insurance sector (e.g., underwriting, distribution, operations, or claims) highly desirable
  • Proven track record of delivering strategic and transformation initiatives in complex, regulated environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with market and scenario analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in matrix organisations and managing competing priorities
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship may be considered at the client’s discretion)
