Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Head of Media to provide leadership and direction within a high-performing communications team. This maternity cover role offers the opportunity to shape media strategy, enhance organisational profile, and support impactful storytelling on a national and international scale. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, managing reputational risk, identifying media opportunities, and supporting the delivery of high-quality communications that raise awareness and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Support the leadership and management of the media and communications function
- Develop and implement strategic media plans to enhance organisational visibility
- Provide expert advice on reputational risk management and media handling
- Identify and leverage media opportunities to promote organisational initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts and stakeholders
- Oversee the creation of compelling content, including press releases and media statements
- Guide and support team members to deliver high-quality outputs
