Our client, a globally recognised international non‑profit organisation, is seeking a Senior Media Officer (PR & Communications) to deliver high‑impact, digital‑first media campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a media and PR professional to shape public engagement, influence key audiences, and contribute to global advocacy initiatives. Based in London with a hybrid working model (60/40 split), this role sits within a dynamic and fast‑paced media team working across campaigns, partnerships, and brand awareness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver integrated, digital‑first PR campaigns across national, international, and digital media channels
- Generate impactful media coverage to support fundraising, advocacy, and public engagement initiatives
- Lead media activity for high‑profile partnerships, ensuring alignment with shared objectives
- Collaborate with influencer and celebrity engagement teams to amplify campaigns and brand visibility
- Create and manage digital content, including filming, editing, and publishing for platforms such as TikTok and YouTube
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets
- Plan and manage media trips (UK and international) for journalists, influencers, and content creation
- Participate in an on‑call rota (approximately every 6–8 weeks) and support out‑of‑hours media activity when required
- Work cross‑functionally with internal teams including fundraising, advocacy, and partnerships
- Promote organisational commitments to equity, inclusion, and safeguarding
Requirements
- Proven experience in a press office, PR agency, or journalism role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong media writing ability
- Strong understanding of UK and global media landscapes, with established journalist relationships
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi‑channel PR campaigns with a digital‑first approach
- Hands‑on experience with social and digital platforms including TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Strong news sense and ability to identify compelling stories
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and collaborative working style
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Experience in the NGO, charity, or international development sector
- Background in print, broadcast, or online media
- Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or appeals
- Experience working with corporate partners and/or high‑profile individuals
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working with agents or celebrity talent
- Additional language skills (e.g. French or Portuguese)
