Overview
Our client, a leading arts and entertainment venue, is seeking an experienced Lighting Technician to join its Production and Technical team for the autumn and Christmas season.
The role will support a varied programme of live events and productions across a main stage and other performance spaces.
Working alongside lighting technicians, designers and operators, the successful candidate will help deliver, operate and maintain complex lighting systems for internal and external clients.
This is an opportunity to develop further technical expertise while contributing to challenging, high-profile productions in a fast-paced live events environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up lighting equipment and systems for events and productions.
- Adapt lighting rigs to meet changing daily production requirements.
- Maintain large moving-light rigs and associated equipment.
- Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of lighting systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Deliver lighting services for both internal and external clients.
- Work collaboratively with lighting technicians, designers and operators.
- Help ensure lighting equipment is prepared, maintained and operated to the required standard.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Lighting Technician in a live events, entertainment or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of complex lighting systems.
- Demonstrable experience maintaining large moving-light rigs.
- Experience adapting lighting rigs for changing production requirements.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- A dedicated and collaborative approach to work.
- A willingness to develop new skills within an established technical team.
