Our client, a leading international insurance organisation, is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join its Financial Services and Management (FSM) Claims team. This role focuses on handling complex professional indemnity claims and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and high-performing environment. The successful candidate will investigate, manage, and resolve claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with service standards, regulatory requirements, and delegated authorities. Responsibilities:
- Investigate, manage, and resolve professional indemnity claims accurately and proactively
- Assess policy coverage and identify liability exposure in line with contractual obligations
- Ensure claims are managed within agreed service level agreements and authority limits
- Maintain accurate reserving practices to reflect the organisation’s liability position
- Handle disputed and complex claims with a commercially focused approach
- Liaise regularly with brokers, customers, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders
- Review estimates and billing submissions from external service providers and resolve discrepancies
- Deliver high levels of customer service through timely communication and professional claims handling
- Support the wider claims strategy and contribute to operational and business targets
Requirements:
- Previous experience handling professional indemnity or professional negligence claims preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance policy coverage and claims processes
- Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and statutory requirements within insurance claims
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills
- Ability to make balanced, impartial, and commercially sound decisions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other claims-related systems
- Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements
