An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Conflicts to join a leading international law firm based in London.
Reporting directly to the Risk & Compliance Partner, you will lead the firm's conflicts function, overseeing complex conflicts of interest and confidentiality matters while driving significant improvements to internal processes, systems and procedures.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the firm's conflicts function and oversee conflicts checking and resolution processes.
- Identify and resolve complex conflicts of interest and confidentiality issues involving clients, lateral hires and mergers.
- Lead a significant programme of improvements to conflicts processes, procedures and systems.
- Draft and maintain conflicts policies, waivers, consent language and relevant contractual provisions.
- Provide guidance and training to partners and colleagues across the firm's international offices.
- Manage, develop and expand the conflicts team.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Risk & Compliance Partner and Conflicts Committee.
- Support the firm's IntApp Cloud Migration, including process improvements and gap analysis.
About you
We are particularly interested in candidates who offer:
- Significant experience in legal conflicts and risk management, ideally within an international law firm.
- A legal qualification, ideally as a qualified solicitor or equivalent.
- Approximately 10 years' experience in conflicts law or a comparable senior role, preferred rather than essential.
- Strong knowledge of professional conduct, conflicts of interest and confidentiality requirements.
- Hands-on experience with IntApp systems, including IntApp Open and Walls.
- Demonstrable experience leading teams and managing senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
