Facilities Supervisor – Bristol
Salary: £35,000 Full-time | Permanent | Office-based Working hours: 9:00am–5:30pm, with some flexibility We are recruiting for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join a leading law firm at its Bristol office.
Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day delivery of a safe, efficient and cost-effective facilities service.
This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong operational facilities experience and a sound understanding of health and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting the local Facilities team
- Assisting the Facilities Manager with daily operational management
- Managing contractors and coordinating planned and reactive maintenance
- Overseeing building services and service level agreements
- Acting as a key facilities contact for employees across assigned offices
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Supporting energy management, sustainability and carbon-reduction initiatives
- Assisting with facilities projects, tenant matters and office improvements
- Approving facilities-related invoices within delegated authority
- Ensuring facilities services are delivered safely, efficiently and consistently About you: You will need substantial experience within facilities or building management, together with the confidence to supervise employees and external contractors.
You should also have
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and workplace welfare regulations
- Previous experience supervising a team or managing contractors
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong operational oversight and problem-solving abilities
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between offices An IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification would be highly advantageous.
