Our client, a high‑performing further education provider, is seeking an experienced Curriculum Manager – Mathematics to lead and develop GCSE Mathematics provision, with some responsibility for Functional Skills. This is a leadership role suited to a passionate education professional with a strong track record in curriculum delivery, team development, and driving learner success. The role combines strategic curriculum leadership with a reduced teaching commitment, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on teaching quality, learner outcomes, and inclusive practice across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and continuously develop the Mathematics curriculum, primarily GCSE provision with some Functional Skills.
- Deliver approximately 7.5 hours of teaching per week, maintaining high standards of classroom practice.
- Drive outstanding learner outcomes through effective monitoring, tracking, and intervention strategies.
- Develop and embed innovative, evidence‑based teaching and learning approaches.
- Lead, support, and develop teaching teams to ensure high‑quality performance and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with cross‑college teams to enhance quality assurance, inclusion, and learner progression.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, and quality standards at all times.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in delivering GCSE Mathematics within a Further Education setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high‑performing teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Passion for learner achievement, progression, and inclusive education.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education.
- Experience delivering or overseeing Functional Skills Mathematics.
