HR Advisor β International Law Firm
London | Hybrid working
A large international law firm is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its London-based Human Resources team.
This opportunity is only suitable for candidates who have previously worked within a UK or US law firm.
Applications without law firm experience will not be considered.
The role
You will provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to employees, managers and partners across the firm.
Key responsibilities will include:
β’ Advising on employee relations matters, including performance, absence, conduct and capability
β’ Supporting managers through formal and informal HR processes
β’ Assisting with promotions, organisational changes and annual review processes
β’ Interpreting HR policies and ensuring they are applied consistently
β’ Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives
β’ Working closely with recruitment, reward, payroll and learning and development teams
β’ Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
β’ Contributing to wider HR projects and process improvements
Essential experience
β’ Previous HR experience within a UK or US law firm is essential
β’ Experience advising managers on employee relations matters
β’ Good knowledge of UK employment practices
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
β’ The ability to work confidently with partners and senior stakeholders
β’ A professional, discreet and solutions-focused approach
β’ The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
