About Us
DIVERSE was launched to help Black, Ethnic Minority and young people from low-income backgrounds into employment. We are a Careers Network & Talent Partner supporting over 10,000+ UK students, grads and young professionals with free careers education and we help employers in sport, media and consumer brands hire from our network. We lead the recruitment and community management of #Merky FC Football Careers, a partnership with Stormzy and adidas to help young Black professionals into employment in the football industry, working with brands like Sky Sports, VERSUS, LADbible and Manchester United.
Responsibilities
- Lead on recruitment delivery for flagship programmes like Stormzy and adidas' #Merky FC Football Careers, placing young Black professionals into roles in football.
- Help brands such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Tesco, Diageo, Red Bull and Wasserman attract and hire diverse candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
- Advise clients on how to improve role visibility, employer brand positioning, and inclusive hiring practices.
- Lead proactive outreach to new candidates inviting them to join the DIVERSE careers network.
- Attend and present at industry events, careers fairs, and DIVERSE pop-ups to promote opportunities and attract new candidates.
- Represent DIVERSE externally and build connections that strengthen our brand and talent pipeline.
- Identify and build new recruitment partnerships within our core industries: sport, media, and consumer brands.
- Own and manage relationships with new clients from initial outreach through to successful hires.
- Act as a 360° recruiter, generating business development and delivering on client recruitment services.
- Host drop-in Q&A sessions for our communities; offer 1:1 advice and guidance to job seekers to improve CVs, applications and interview skills.
- Share insights with the team to improve our content, candidate experience, and client advisory offerings.
- Manage our job board ensuring all roles are uploaded, updated, and optimised for visibility and candidate engagement.
- Track performance of job ads and support the wider team in driving applications.
- Work with the marketing team to promote key roles across our channels.
About You
- 3–6 years of experience in recruitment (agency or in-house).
- Understanding that startup life doesn't always fit into a neat 9–5; comfortable in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on tasks outside the core role.
- Ability to work independently in a small team and build strong relationships with clients and candidates.
- Skilled in 360 recruitment with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong eye for detail.
- Willing to embrace AI to save time and increase productivity.
- Ability to understand the needs of Early Careers, Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding and DEI/HR professionals, and the careers challenges facing under-represented young professionals.
