My well-established national client has over 40 depots, employs 3000 members of staff, completes 400,000 deliveries per year and owns over 4,000 trucks. Due to expansion and progression, they are seeking a Transport Operator to join their team at Northampton.
All drivers are permanently employed, with a regular and reliable sub-contractor base and a fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.
Duties include:
- Daily management of the transport plan and ensuring all SLA requirements are adhered to
- Supporting with planning routes and drivers for up to 50 vehicles daily
- Dealing with drivers face to face and over the phone
- Liaising with sub-contractors
- Liaising with clients to ensure timely deliveries are met
