All drivers are permanently employed, a regular and reliable sub-contractor base with a fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.

Duties include:

  • Dealing with multiple drivers
  • Communicating with ports
  • Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
  • Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers' start times and finish times
  • Chasing drivers for ETAs
  • Rerouting jobs as and when needed
  • Checking all PODs are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
  • Speaking to customers on possible delays

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in transport operations and container planning would be an advantage but not essential. Good geographical knowledge and use of Computerised systems. You must be a self-starter, be able to work under pressure and use your initiative to ensure all requirements are met and excellence is achieved.
