Hours: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.30

My client is one of the market leaders in providing short term computer rental and AV hire services to a range of customers through the UK and Europe. Due to growth, they have an opportunity for a warehouse operative/Stock Controller to join their busy team. Based out of the Wokingham office, the ideal candidate will have a flexible can-do attitude and previous experience within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log all equipment received through the door via computer-based Goods In Log.
  • Monitor the arrival of POs and ensure they are correctly booked-in via computer-based stock management system.
  • Ensure all orders are picked and made available for processing in a timely fashion.
  • Book in equipment returns and make available for orders in a timely fashion.
  • Move equipment to engineering department for Booking In queues and ensure engineers are aware of Servers and AV equipment to be booked in.
  • Update the IT system and inform the team of order and returns shortages and damages.
  • Laser scan items for accurate Bin locating.
  • Wherever possible consolidate equipment on the shelves to maximise space usage.
  • Conduct stock inventory checks.
  • Keep the warehouse in a clean and tidy fashion.
  • Safe handling of stock and loading & unloading vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a busy warehouse operation.
  • Experience of WMS or stock related computer systems.
  • Good organisation and planning skills.
  • Good ability to use initiative.
  • Previous experience in stock control.
  • FLT license would be an advantage.
