My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon..
You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.
Due to further expansion they are seeking a Network Transport Planner to join their friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career.
Responsibilities
- Planning deliveries and collections via the pallet network , using TMS but manual planning experience also required
- Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way
- Maintaining regular contact with drivers
- Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues
- Supporting the customer service team with day to day customer contact
- Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance
- Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required
Skills required
- Previous transport planning experience / pallet network an advantage
- Strong Uk geographical knowledge
- Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation
- Strong communication skills
- Resilience
- Able to deal with complaints
- Solution driven
- Strong IT skills
- Working hours Monday – Friday 12.00 – 20.00
