My client is an award-winning logistics provider who have been operating throughout the UK and Europe for over 50 years. They have a new opportunity for a proactive data analyst to join their team in Newark. This position will be responsible for providing financial and management information to the Contract Delivery Manager as well as the wider operational team, implementing and maintaining key performance metrics and financial reporting/budgeting processes. Monday – Friday 40 hours between 08.00 – 17.00 (client flexible on start time) Responsibilities: * Daily management of a suite of KPIs providing management information to the team on previous days performance and capacity challenges coming up * Reconciliation of driver costings on a weekly basis * Building of the weekly financial performance with support from central finance team * Ownership of quarterly budget/forecast builds utilising internal templates/models * Responding to customer capacity / operational challenges with regards to finances and analytics * Have a focus on continuous improvement and development of systems. * Support the maintenance of data within current planning systems to ensure integrity of data. * Maintain a good working relationship with internal and external customers. Skills / Experience * Previous experience within a data analytical role * Logistics experience an advantage but not essential * Advanced Excel skills * Work logically and systematically to solve problems, * Make decisions with the ability to manage sustainable change. * Previous experience with budgets/forecasting * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Able to work autonomously yet able to collaborate with a wider team * Ability to generate new ideas to overcome problems and generate solutions.
