My client is an award-winning leading transport distributor with multiple operations in the UK. They have a fantastic opportunity to join the team at the Newark operation, supporting the logistics team who operate on a 24/7 basis.
Duties:
- Be the first line of contact for all driver communications during shift hours.
- Monitor driver performance, challenging and escalating behaviour where necessary.
- Assist the Transport Managers and Transport Operations Manager in coordinating operations to ensure service excellence.
- Support in managing legal compliance around driver hours and tachograph regulations.
- Update and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
- Update the notice boards with Microlise and WTD weekly information.
- Ensure any operational issues are flagged and resolved promptly.
Skill/Experience Required:
- Good understanding of the drivers WTD and legislation.
- Previous experience within a transport environment.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Adaptable to systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
