Working hours will be on a 4 on 4 off rotation including days and nights: 07.00 - 19.00 for 2 weeks, then 19.00 - 07.00 for 2 weeks.
My client is an award-winning leading transport distributor with multiple operations in the UK.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the logistics team who operate on a 24/7 basis.
- Delivering the daily plan in an efficient and timely manner whilst maintaining full compliance in line with the company's SLA.
- Supporting with planning to ensure the planned number of drivers are all available to complete the delivery plan.
- Escalating any issues/discrepancies to the planning team and service delivery manager.
- Following the planned maintenance schedule to ensure the company's fleet remains fully compliant whilst delivering operational efficiency.
- Daily management and control of all resources including agency, internal support, and subcontractors to adhere to and achieve trunking requirements.
- Escalation of any shortfall of resources to the Transport Planner and Service Delivery Manager.
- Ensuring effective communication of any issues (driver misconduct, late deliveries, delays, incidents, accidents) to internal and external parties via agreed methods.
- Consistently striving to improve contract transport performance.
- Supporting the Fleet Admin out of core hours with the daily management, update, and distribution of the Washout List and Register.
- Recording and actioning of defects or breakdowns in the absence of Fleet Admin.
- Deputising in the absence of the Transport Planner.
- Financial awareness and vehicle planning experience.
- Working in a challenging office environment.
