My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same. Due to further expansion they are seeking a Transport Planner to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career.

Responsibilities

  • Planning collections predominately in the North West, using TMS but manual planning experience also required
  • Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way
  • Maintaining regular contact with drivers
  • Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues
  • Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance
  • Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required

Skills required

  • Previous transport planning experience
  • Strong UK geographical knowledge
  • Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Resilience
  • Able to deal with complaints

  • Strong IT skills

Working hours

Monday-Friday 09.00-19.00
